RACE DAY INFORMATION

PLATINUM RIG 24H TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS RACE EVENT RULES AND REGULATIONS

REGISTRATION, TEAM MEETING AND TEAM ZONES!
1- SIGNING IN at the venue can be done on Race Day from 7am to 9h00am on Saturday, June 6, 2020. You can avoid the rush and pick up your RACER PACKAGES the night before from 4pm to 9pm. (Friday, June 5th 2019)
- One racer per team will pick up the entire team's items including Jerseys, Buffs, Tent Lot Number and Team Clipboard for keeping track of laps, times and stats.

2- The VIP TEAM ZONE (for TENTS AND RV'S) trackside will be open Friday night from 4pm to 9pm for those wanting to set up thier tents. For security reasons we do not allow setting up during the night hours. It then opens once again starting at 7am Saturday morning.

3- Those wanting to enter the VIP TEAM ZONE with a pop-up RV or RV need to be arrived and parked by 10am Saturday morning. Tow vehicles will be allowed to stay attached to RV's in the VIP TEAM ZONE. No Generators will be permitted during the hours of 9pm and 8am. Only low-noise generators will be permitted during the day.

4- The ''FREE 4 ALL'' TEAM TENT, located on the far side of the track, will be open for all as of Friday night at 4pm. This tent area (for racers and Pit Crew only) is for Racer Bins and meetings between relays. Platinum Rig Events is not responsible for any items stolen or lost. No beds or sleeping will be allowed in this area.

5- There will be a MANDATORY MEETING at the START LINE for ALL TEAM MEMBERS and PIT CREWS at 9h00am to go over all rules and regulations. This is the most important part of the day's preparations. You will all walk the track, see all the obstacles and go over all the rules.

6- During the race, only ONE TEAM MEMBER will be on the track at any given moment. Switching between team members is done in the RELAY ZONE. All exchanges need to be made in this area.

7- Only TEAM MEMBERS and PIT CREW are allowed on the track, on the obstacles or in the VIP TEAM ZONE. Only TEAM MEMBERS and PIT CREW are allowed to work together on strategy, lap times, hydration and rest periods. No external help or influence is permitted.

8- Drinking water will be made available for all to fill up water bottles.

9- Restrooms will be available on site.

10- The will be FOOD and drink available to purchase on site. Soup and Pasta will be served. If you wish to eat certain foods or specific health foods, we advise you to bring all the necessary with you.

11- Wear APPROPRIATE CLOTHING and bring at least 1 EXTRA SET OF CLOTHES AND SHOES. We cannot anticipate weather conditions. It could be warm, cold, sunny, windy or wet.

12- PARKING AROUND THE TRACK IS FREE. There will be indications.

13- The event is free for spectators and everyone is encouraged to come see the action.

RACE START AND FINISH!
1- The race will START at 11h00 Saturday, June 6th 2020. One runner per team will be allowed on the start line. When the announcer starts the race, there will be a period (approximately between 1 and 10 minutes) where all participants on the track (one per team) will run the course without attempting the obstacles. This is the period to distribute runners around the track and compete for position. Plan this well with your team. At any given moment, without warning, the Race Director will sound the horn and participants will immediately start on the obstacle closest to them and all obstacles will be mandatory for the rest of the race. After initiating the Obstacle horn... this lap counts as your first lap!

2- The FINISH is at 11h00 Sunday, June 7th. A horn will blast and at that moment all racers are to stop and come back to the start zone and meet up with their team. The official 24 hour race is over. All teams will then run the obstacle course for a final ''lap of glory'' to receive their medals! (this lap does not count for results)

3- The WINNING TEAM is the one that completes the most laps in the 24 hour period. Should more than one team have completed the same amount of laps when the ''final lap'' siren goes off, the winning team is the one that finished their final lap (before the horn) first.

*If more than one team has exactly the same amount of laps and the same exact time (which is highly unlikely), the teams will share the position and split the prize. This goes for all positions.

4- Each Team Member needs to complete a minimum of 20% of the total laps in order to qualify for podium and prizes. If this 20% minimum is not respected, the team is no longer eligeable for podium and prizes.

OBSTACLE RULES!
1- OBSTACLES ARE MANDATORY! If a racer cannot complete an obstacle, he or she needs to double back all the way to the RELAY ZONE and send another TEAMMATE. Example: If you are 700 meters into your lap, you need to double back all the way and then your teammate starts a brand new lap and needs to complete all the obstacles.

- All ''Upper Body Rig Style'' obstacles will have a bell at the end of each lane which needs to be rung. If you miss the bell, you need to re-do the obstacle.

- All ''Ramp or Wall Style'' obstacles need to be completed by going up and over.

- All other obstacles need to be completed from beginning to end. Examples are: Tunnels, crawls, maze, carries.

2- This is an elite level event and we count on all participants to follow the rules. Any participant who breaks the rules, who is caught cheating or bending the rules to their advantage will be disqualified from the competition, therefore the entire team will be disqualified. Our race director will go threw the entire course with all racers Saturday morning to be sure all is clear.

3- Obstacles will modulate and will close and open throughout the 24-hour period. All obstacles and course direction will be very clearly indicated.

PREPARE YOURSELF FOR AN AMAZING AND INTENSE EXPERIENCE!

1- All participation is at YOUR OWN RISK. PLATINUM RIG EVENTS disclaims all liability for damages to the participants and their equipment. If any of the participants or their equipment and / or clothing are damaged, the organizers are not responsible.

2- All registrations for a PLATINUM RIG EVENT are final, no refunds. We do however offer transfers to a future event or to another person. A fee of 20$+tx is applicable for all transfers.

3- Our RACE COURSE DESIGNERS reserve the right to change or modify the track, location and obstacles at any time.

4- The RACE COURSE is only accessible for registered racers. All spectators will stay in designated areas and not on the track.

5- All PARTICIPANTS need to be ages 13 and up. Minors require a parental consent to be able to race. No exceptions.

6- Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the course. No participant is permitted to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while running the race or throughout the 24H period... not even in your Pit Area. PLATINUM RIG EVENTS has the right to remove you from the track and disqualify you if you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

7- All changes in your registration (transfers, etc.) must be notified at the latest 2 weeks before event day.

8- PLATINUM RIG EVENTS will have the best event photographers on location. As a participant you give PLATINUM RIG EVENTS permission to utilise and publish footage of the event for promotional purposes.
